Ghana Enters New Millennium With Prayers And Revelry - Panafrican News Agency - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

Christians prayed and sang in praise of Jesus Christ,
tonnes of fireworks lit the night sky and people jubilated as Ghanaians gave a
spiritual and secular welcome to the New Year and the new millennium.

Elsewhere, other citizens, mainly the youth, danced their way into AD 2000 at
night clubs and discotheques.

The two groups had one thing in common - peace and prosperity for themselves,
their country and mankind - but chose different routes to express them.

On the streets of Accra, revellers sang in groups from place to place while
some youth went from house-to-house singing carols to solicit funds for various
projects.

At the Independence Square, a huge crowd gathered to welcome the new
millennium. As the clock struck midnight GMT, there was a huge display of
fireworks.

Just before midnight, pastors invited their congregations to say prayers for
the New Year and the new millennium. They were also to seek reconciliation with
their creator as firecrackers boomed from the streets to announce the arrival of
the year and the third millennium.

They had ignored the ban government had imposed on certain types of
firecrackers likely to cause injury. Indeed, some persons had been arrested for
flouting the ban, but tonight, the crackers boomed with the approval of many as
the celebrations continued.

At the banks, public utilities like water, electricity, and hospitals,
officials worked throughout the night anxiously watching their computers and
other sensitive equipment to check if any of the anticipated problems of the Y2K
bug would occur. They all say they do not expect any serious problems.

Commander Pius Griffiths, Deputy Minister of Communications, who is charge of
the Ghana Y2K office, said so far they have received no negative reports.

Water, Electricity and telecommunications services continued uninterrupted.
At the hospitals, midwives waited for the arrival of Ghana’s first millennium
baby.

Although declared a public holiday, the banks worked throughout the day to
compile statements for customers just in case there would be a failure of their
computers.

The usually busy airport was quiet as there were no scheduled flights.

The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority has announced a waiver in landing fees for
the first 10 aircraft that would touch down at the Kotoka international airport
from 32 December to 1 January as it confidently pronounced its equipment Y2K
compliant.

The national carrier, Ghana Airways, says it is organising a flight to
Cotonou, Benin, Saturday morning to prove that it is (Y2K) ready.

Compaore Expresses Readiness For Political Concessions - Panafrican News Agency - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

Burkinabe President Blaise Compaore said
he was willing to hold early parliamentary elections, if that proved necessary
in 2000 for the representation of all political views in the national assembly.

In his New Year address Friday night, Compaore stressed that the
consolidation and enhancement of democracy in Burkina Faso were the guarantees
for sustainable development and social peace.

He acknowledged that socio-political protests following the death of
journalist Norbert Zongo were the expression of a greater demand for democracy
and social justice.

According to Compaore, this tragedy (Zongo’s death) was a catalyst call for
reforms at socio-political level and in the judiciary so as to strengthen the
process of democratisation and good governance.

He expressed regrets to all victims of abuse by the state, to families
bereaved by crimes in the country’s political history.

Zambia said he favoured a review of the electoral law and the constitution -
especially the article that limits presidential mandates to two terms - changing
the voting system and the status of the opposition.

Compaore also approved the recommendations of the ad hoc commission on
political reforms.

He promised to make the necessary arrangements for a rearrangement of the
country’s political landscape.

Observers described the goodwill gestures as moves aimed at bringing the
coalition of democratic organisations and political parties back to the
negotiating table.

Wildcats back in league after two-year absence - The Nation (Nairobi) - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute men’s basketball
team popularly known as ‘Wildcats’ is back in the national league after a two
year absence.

Stephen Nyakina, the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) fixtures secretary,
said yesterday that KCITI, who had pulled out of the competition due to
mismanagement, have been accepted back to feature in this year’s
championship.

“We have already considered KCITI back but first in the lower Division,
where they must battle it out in a mini-league to qualify for the Division
One league,” said Nyakina. Nyakina said a mini-league of six teams which will
include KCITI will be organised to get two additional qualifiers to join the
Division One since the lower division will now be handled by Nairobi branch.

Eight teams that will take part in the top league have already been
identified which leaves the two remaining slots to be filled by two top clubs
from the mini-league.

The official said that since university teams namely JKUAT and Pirates had
paid the league fees but never participated in the just concluded season,
they will also be given a chance to compete in the mini-league.

KCITI coached by Cliffe Owuor were giant-killers in the 1997 national top
league and were unbeaten before they surprisingly withdrew from the
competition sighting biased officiating by referees who also doubled up as
KBF officials.

Wildcats stars included Peter Kiganya and James Omondi who later landed
scholarships to join universities in the United States.

Meanwhile, all teams that will take part in next year’s Premeir League and
Division One league will be required to pay participation fees before being
drawn in the fixtures.

Fixtures secretary Nyakina said no team will be allowed in the competition
before paying fees as it has been before.

He said KBF has also asked the four teams which qualified for men’s play-
offs to give a written commitment that they will represent Kenya in next
year’s continental championships should they qualify.

Nyakina said after a commital letter the team will be held responsible for
paying a fine of $5,000 to FIBA-Africa in case it pulls out either from
Africa club championship or Abdel Ashry Cup.

Two of the four teams - Co-op Bank, Ulinzi, Postbank and Kencom Lions will
qualify to feature in the continental event after the play-offs final on
January 22.

The winner of the play-offs will participate in the club championship
while the runner-up will qualify to take part in the Abdel Ashry Cup.

Season soccer fans would not like to remember - The Nation (Nairobi) - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

>From match-fixing scandals to fatal football riots and mediocre
performances by local clubs and national teams in international tournaments,
1999 had them all.

But for the victory of the Kenya ‘A’ team in the Cecafa Under-20
championship in Nairobi in November, it is one year that Kenyan soccer lovers
would love to forget in a hurry.

First, the good. The long awaited national youth soccer development
programme finally got off the ground years after the last arrangement by
German tactician Bernard Zgoll collapsed. Todate several youth centres have
been established, thanks to a Sh 2.5 million sponsorship from Fifa and the
efforts of the National Youth Football Development Programme (NYDP) chief,
Manfred Steves, and his four lieutenants -Bob Oyugi, John Champion, Tom Olaba
and Mickey Weche.

The victory of the Under-20 team cannot be said to be a sign of the
success of the programme but at least it is an indication that Steves and his
men have got down to work.

Another youth sponsorship deal was struck between the Dutch and KFF but so
far there is scant information about it but it was one of the few positive
developments in the just-ended season.

Now, the bad. The season can be aptly summarised as disappointing. First,
Kenya slid 10 places down the Fifa rankings from 93rd position in December
1998 to 103rd in December 1999. A lot was expected especially from the
national team, Harambee Stars, but nothing delivered.

The failure of the national team to qualify for the African Cup of
Nations, which begins this month in Ghana and Nigeria, left little else for
the Kenyan fans to look forward to.

A draw at home to Madagascar in the first qualifying match set the
Harambee Stars on their way to a fourth successive miss of the Pan-African
soccer feast as they collected just one point from six matches to finish last
in the qualifying group from which Zambia and the Democratic Republic of
Congo qualified.

The national Under-23 team followed their seniors down the drain as they
got bundled out of the All-Africa Games qualifying rounds by Uganda.

The Cecafa Senior championship came belatedly in July but who really
cared? A few people did when Harambee Stars qualified for the final but the
bubble of excitement burst when they were thrashed 3-1 in the final by Rwanda
‘B’ in Kigali.

The victory of the Kenya ‘A’ team in the final of the regional Under -20
championships in Nairobi in November which brought the country its first
trophy in 17 years, brought a little excitement but did little to help fans
comprehend how the senior national team, on an unprecedented corporate
million-shilling sponsorship from Kenya Breweries, could perform so dismally.

The clubs provided no break to the long-suffering fans. Premier League
champions AFC Leopards came back from Kigali boasting how Rwanda’s Rayon
Sport, their CAF Champions’ League first round opponents had been lucky to
get away with a 2-1 win in the first leg in Kigali and how they would
demolish them in Nairobi.

“Even the Rwandese fans were wondering if it was financially viable to for
their team to travel to Nairobi for the second leg,” bragged Martin Ndagano,
then the Leopards coach.

Leopards needed a 1-0 win to see them through to the second round but
Rayon had other ideas. The Rwandese struck with a penalty in the first half
of the return clash at Kasarani for a 3-2 aggregate win and a date with the
dreaded Al Ahly of Egypt in the second round. Leopards were out.

Mumias Sugar’s fate in the CAF Cup was sealed when Mozambique’s
Ferroviarro Beira held them to a 1-1draw in Mumias. “The draw is good for us
because the return leg will be easy,” said the Ferroviarro coach, Abdulrasul
Lassine. It was. The Mozambicans won 1-0 away to advance to the second round.
It was the second year in a row that a Kenyan team was to fall to a
Mozambican side on the continental club soccer scene. Eldoret KCC had been
bundled out of the Cup winners Cup by Coastal Dol Sol the previous year. It
is debuntants on the continental scene, Mathare United, who went out in the
second round with their heads held high. Malawi’s Bata Bullets came calling
in Nairobi for the first leg in March and just when fans thought the match
was headed for a barren draw, Alfred Chege and Asman Ngaywa set the Kasarani
terraces alight with two ferocious second half strikes to give Mathare a 2-0
first leg win.

They lost the return leg 3-2 but qualified for the second round on a 4-3
aggregate. Next came AS Dragons from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Mathare lost the first leg 1-3 in Kinshasa and drew 1-1 at home to go bow
but not without providing the fans with something to go wild about - Ezekiel
Akwana’s spectacular goal from a free kick in the second half. And so ended
Kenya’s campaign for continental club football honours.

IRIN Focus on Mandela Mediation - Readers’ Forum - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

I am a Burundian citizen living in Canada since 1997. I left Burundi in 1995
because of the war that was also happening at that time in the capital city,
Bujumbura. I am here since than and I went once back there last year. I know how
is the situation is down there and each time I think about it, I feel like I am
useless because I feel that I should be there to help those in needs.

Your article made me feel that there is still a hope for our country to come
back to normal after long years of war, deaths, years of darkness. I know that
the people in our country are not bad at all. We are ruined by politicians that
use us for their own personal interested. The population is almost all of them
agricultural, they don’t know what’s going on. They have heard things from the
politician and they just with the flow. Most of them are not educated and they
are easy to use and that’s what happened.

They have been used and now they are just lost without any support, running
from one place to another, from country to country and they don’t even know who
to trust anymore, the neighbor they lived with for almost their entire life (of
their ethnic or not), the government or the rebels. I am positive they wished
this war would end with no one winning because believe it or not, we have to
stick together because we are the same family on the same boat. I am tutsi and
proud of it and we need everyone to be proud of what their are and if there is
things that may have happened or still happening, yes anyone can stand up and
fight for their rights but in a human way not by using guns and machetes, or by
using military power (government).

I came hear to Canada and I live since then in Toronto. We have people from
all over the world, every ethnic group and race is hear, no place for hatery or
something similar. You learn to live with different people and you learn to work
and survive together, we are becoming one nation, one people. I would love to
share my feelings with Burundians and other people that are in similar
situation. It is always good to share positive experience because I believe that
an optimistic attitude does help to resolve problems and help other to believe
in something constructive. I hope things will positively change in Burundi and
everywhere else always for the better. Let’s always smile.

UPC Pulls Out Of The DP Seminar - Readers’ Forum - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

Well, this all goes to the same old saying that, it really doesn’t matter how
smart you are, there is always somebody who can figure you out and pull off the
plug from from under your bottom. It sounds more like the UPC in Uganda have
just done that again.

Some little men from Downing Street in London thought they had it all figured
out. They thought by throwing just $4.0 million dollars, the hungry Africans
would jump up and embrace dictatorship instead of exercising common sense. Boy
were they wrong! Instead the Africans figured the Kidergarten Kids of Downing
Street preety good. UPC walked out of the nasty insulting scheme. It still
remains to be seen whether or not the DP are so gluttony hungry that they will
start to salivate and fight over the Kindergarten little boys’ “roasted peanuts”
from Downing Street, London.

Whatever happens, the facts are now clear. USA and UK are all set up to
destroy Uganda using the yo-yo, the tutsi-rwandan dummy, the puppet, Museveni.
If one would dare to ask a simple innocent question as to why USA and UK want
from and with Museveni. The answer is actually straight forward. Museveni is the
“Foreign Policy Political Condom of Africa” The theory behind creating a
“Foreign Policy Political Condoms” is to creat some sort of economics
dependencies. In such parasitic relationship the “Condom” nation starts to beg
the G7 countries for everything. Becuase of such beggary, the Condom country
must obey its masters without questions.

Creating a Condom Nation will eventually bring good jobs for G7 countries and
therefore creating a Condom Nation is well worth the risk of financial
investment. Remember, in international politics, nothing is for nothing. What
about Uganda? Actually Uganda is now a complete “Condom” nation. Museveni has
the same mental capacity as that of Boris Yeltsin and the then Mobutu of Zaire.
Such individuals are assets in creating Condom Nations in the International
Foreign Policy for G7 Nations. Why are they assets? Because such dummies are
always used and thrown away for good just like fucked up condoms.

For example, Mobutu had completely destroyed the entire civilization of
Congo. He was fucked up and was thrown away and was replaced by Museveni for
even a bigger fuck-up in the entire Great Lake Regions. That fact is important
because this time around only USA of UK can go to Congo under the pretext of
developing Congo and then thereby ending up re-colonizing Congo for its
minerals; as for Russia, the same could be said. Russia under Yetlsin is fully
destroyed. Russia is fucked up from all angles: left, right, up, down and
center!

And it will take USA and UK to develop Russia. Russia will never rise from
the ashes of its own fucked-up ruins. Again there are lots of wealth in Russia.
And USA and UK will have to go to develop Russia. So if you see the right
picture clearly, USA and UK have enormous amount of overseas jobs for their
cititzens in the next millennium. As for Uganda, Museveni has wholly and
completely destroyed Uganda. Uganda will never rise without foreign aids from
USA and UK. That means, USA and UK will rule Uganda again for another 60 years.
Musevni will be just like a governor taking his orders either from Washington or
from London. The rest of Ugandan people will be forced to pay taxation to
support Museveni.

So Uganda will be an experimental ground, a dumping ground, for those
countries. As a refugee from Gishenyi, Rwanda, Museveni has nothing to lose. He
does not care for Uganda, he does not have Uganda in his heart because Uganda is
not his mother/father land. As long as Rwanda is doing better than Uganda,
Museveni will be very happy as he is now. The Referendum actually is a ploy to
let Ugandans insult themselves. By participating in this type of referendum,
Ugandans will actually be insulting themselves, locking up themselves into
slavery and oppression. The only thing USA and UK want to see is that Museveni
puts the colonial, imperial, slavery shackle and yoke on the ankles and necks of
the poor black Africans of Uganda for them.

Please don’t forget so soon now; Juda betrayed his master, Jesus the saviour;
and Yeltsin betrayed his mother Russia, the then 20th.Century military Super-
power; and Mobutu betrayed his Motherland the Congo which is the mineral rich
nation Africa. As for Uganda, the devil is in the details. In the details of
events you will find Museveni. And that is the only devil and the only enemy of
Uganda and the only enemy of the Great Lake Regions of Africa. Those who
supported Museveni were naive. Some of them are now beginning to see the truth.
For example, the “Chaka ya mchaka” (political education) is merely a copy cap of
what the Belgium did when they started ruling Rwanda and Congo.

Those are instruments of misinformation, uninformation and underinformation;
collectively known as “PROPAGANDA TOOLS” These tools, as used by Museveni, are
intended to be used as means of confusing Ugandans; and to intimidate Ugandans
to accept those which Ugandans are reluctant to accept. Once the Ugandans accept
the Musveni’s false doctrine through the Chaka Mchaka, they will be willing to
not question things; and thereafter they will sacrifice their lives for the
false cause (as a matter of false faithful, religiosity of Museveni’s doctrine).
The value or virtue of Chaka Mchaka, if any at all exists, then it must only be
in Museveni’s mind. No-where else does such a deception breed. Museveni directs
his men to shoot and kill any Ugandan who refuses to be indoctrinated into the
falsehood of “Chaka ya Mchaka”.

In short, Ugandans are to start adoring praying to Museveni, the Tutsi, as a
GOD of Uganda. And Ugandans are expected to agree with all of Museveni’s
dictorship without any questions. And for how long will this last? Mark my
words: As long as Museveni takes his orders from Washington and London, he will
be made to enjoy the status of a “GOD” but only in Uganda; and only over the
Black native Ugandans. But there is another catch to it. He, Museveni, will in
return MUST obey white-man as a matter of religiosity or else he will lose his
HEAVENLY KINGDOM, Ugnada and the Great Lake Regions. That is why the referendum
is very important for Museveni and the USA and UK. To them it does not matter
whether what the Ugandans say is democratically true as long as the end result
will leave Meseveni at the position where he will destroy Uganda on their
behalf.

Look at it like this, if USA or UK, spends $4 or $10 million dollars for the
mere Ugandan Referendum, how will they recover the spent money? The only way
they can recover their money is by using Museveni’s Black-African face to
exploit Uganda and Ugandans. Remember, in international politics, there is
nothing for nothing. Luckily or unluckily, Museveni is willing to sell Uganda.
This is because Uganda is what he conquered in a battle; Uganda is not his
mother land. Uganda is a commodity, some sort of a property, for him (
Museveni). He can always go back to Rwada (his native land); and stage another
bush war from Rwanda against Uganda if the worst come to the worst. Just look at
the number of Rwandans in Museveni’s Army; and look at the number of Rwandans in
Rwanda now who were with Museveni in the bush with Museveni when they were
invading and fighting the then legitimate government of Uganda.

Don’t buy those rubbish, empty words about “democracy” which you hear people
say. “Democracy” is a word people use. But those who claim to know it actually
don’t apply the concept when it comes to extending colonialism, imperialism.
apartheid and slavery upon the to-be-selected-group of victims of people like
Ugandans are currently being targeted. As for Uganda, the only way peace and
true democracy can come to Uganda is yet through another brave and grave
battles. There must be a big war in Uganda. Museveni must be replaced by a true
native son of Uganda.

Kabaka Mutebi is not a bad choice. The Kabaka has the respect of the
Bagandans, the Northerners, the Easterners and some part of the Westerners; Dr.
Kigundu is another good choice; Winnie Byanyima has a strong name behind her
too, plus the fact that she has the support of the Northerners, the Easterners,
the women of Uganda; the Bagandans may not support Byanyima fully because of her
one time association with Museveni. Museveni just has very limited support among
the Bagandans now. But Uganda still has yet another trouble. The biggest trouble
rest with the Ugandans who run abroad to do those menial jobs, like washing
dishes in hotels overseas, when live is hard in Uganda. But as soon as Uganda is
liberated, those same dish washers want to return to Uganda and demand to be
appointed jobs as departmental MINISTERS and PRIME MINISTERS while not having
had contributed to the democratic courses of liberating the country.

These people are not only cowards, they are also traitors who can betray
their countries in just a twinkle of an eye when they are the given smallest sum
of money by foreign countries. Yes cowards come in many colurs, forms and
shapes. There are now 80,000 Ugandans in Brittain, holed up there waiting for
changes to happen so that they return to demand to be appointed departmental
ministers over us; there are 40,000 Ugandans holed up in the USA, majority of
whom are dish washing but when changes happen in Uganda then they will all want
come and be departmental ministers. But a country can have only so many
ministers at a time. The sad part is if these Ugandans abroad are not appointed
ministers, they will go to the bush! And war starts all over again, de javu! The
country is in trouble.

Yet Ugandans abroad, some of whom are educated, are too coward to even talk
for their rights, constitutional or tribal; some pose like Ugandan consul in
western USA falsely claiming that they are American Citizens and that they can
order the American Embassy in Kampala to give Entry Visas into USA to all Uganda
citizens who want to travel with the Kabaka to the USA. And they come calling
themselves Americans yet we who speak Luganda can hear and tell that these
cronies still have our own thick, ugly Luganda accented unAmerican, or
unBristish, English. These same liars come to swindle our money for visas
instead of returning home to contribute to important matters of the Country. We
all know there isn’t any Uganda Consul in California. So to all of you good
“Abbey Walusimbis” abroad please if you have that brains then why use it for
stealing and lieing, instead of helping out?

See that is why our country is in trouble and it is getting into a deeper
trouble. Actually the UPC see the whole truth, the insults by whitemen of the
G7, the arrogance,…. which is why UPC have decided to remain out and not lend
any credibility to a situation which is already NUL and VOID. An excellent call
by the UPC of Uganda. Some “rats” can smell the “cats” from many miles away. We
Bagandans love to refer to many sayings as we talk. We solidly believe that good
sayings just don’t die with time. Yes, some of you will agree that “… you can
lead a horse but you may be able to make it DRINK…..”. The religious people
said, ‘…. you can lead a poor boy to the alter but you may not make him say
YES….”.

In Uganda today we are saying “…. you can use you dollars but not all of us
Africans are that stupid and that hungry to fall for it…..”. But as for me, I
like to conclude by reminding people that, “….You just can not fool all the
people all the time…..” even if you $4 or $10 million dollars to blow up to
confuse and fool the seemingly hungry Africans. And this is still as a good of a
saying today as it had always been for many, many years back. The lesson to
learn here is as simple as this: Even a small child, or an hungry person, or a
poor person still has his/her own fair sense of pride!

DON’T INSULT ANYBODY.

Now Obasanjo Goes After The Big Fish - Readers’ Forum - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

While I appreciate the effort of the Obasanjo government in getting our money
from the rogues that served their own pockets in Nigeria, instead of the
government and the people, I still have questions as regards the Babaginda
regime and his recent role as the country representative to some foreign
countries.

Instead of sending him on errand to take our President messages to other
countries why is he yet to be probed for his own misdeed? What glory has he
brought to Nigeria to have deserved the present assignment? Don’t we have more
moral, ethic individuals anymore in Nigeria that could carry the banner of the
nation? Why Babaginda for GOD sake.

He is the like of Job 13:4 A forgers of lies, and physician of no value. The
book of 1 Corinthian 3: 13 says that ” Every man’s work shall be made manifest
for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire
shall try every man’s work of what sort it is” The whole world have seen this
manifested in the Abacha regime; hasn’t that been revealed in Babaginda’s
regime?

The whole world is looking and waiting. So therefore, President Obasanjo
should rise up to the task of bringing justice to all those who have volated the
law of the land and not honoring them and making them more important.

Judaism Was Born In African By Africans - Readers’ Forum - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

I am very convinced most governors in the Northern Nigeria have nothing to
offer the people that is why they appeal to Shariah to subject the people to
obedience. By saying the absence of Shariah make a mockery of Moslems means that
there are no good Moslems in Britain, America, Chechnya, France where Ayatollah
Khomeini lived for many years and Turkey a secular state.

Shariah will make people more obedient while leaders make away with the
people’s money. A Saudi prince is one of the owners of City Bank and he is a
good Moslem. A religious person is best proved under an adverse environment.
Many of those princes live more in Europe and America than in their homeland. In
fact may even marry outside their home. The current Kind of Jordan is of English
mother. Yasser Arrafat is married to a Christian of Jewish extraction and she is
still a Christian.

Your will see her of TV singing in the choir at Bethlehem on Christmas Day
with Yasser Araffat among the audience. Is Yasser Araffat not a good Moslem. Let
the governments and people operating secular system in Nigeria collect those
amputated persons from the street and send them to their state of origin. If you
have a law, you should take care of its product. Governors in the secular state
should see that their citizens are neither amputated nor beheaded. As the
Shariah is being introduced in the Northern part of Nigeria, the nationals of
the South Nigeria should understand that there is no more reason to continue
these places.

I am very convinced that democracy will take care of all. Let Nigerians all
remain loyal to democracy. Many of these governors that introduce Shariah today
will end up living in Lagos and London and the last place that they will live in
is a Shariah state. They are hypocrites. To say the laws in Nigerian being based
on Western Jewish-Christian principles is wrong. The Western laws are not
Christian at all, they are pagan in fact. Christianity has to do with
forgiveness but the Western form of government does not represent that. The
holocaust, apartheid, racism, Xenophobia, homosexuality, travesties, colonialism
with are all approved in the Western world are typical of anti-Christ
principles. Some say the Islam is black man’s religion - this rubbish. Islam as
far as I observe has no colour of skin.

Prophet Mohammed was an Asian, he was not black. On the contrary, Judaism was
born on the soil of Africa. The Great Prophet Moses was an Africa, his parents
were born in Africa, his grand parents were born in Africa, his great grand
parent were born in Africa his son Gershon was born on African soil. Moses was
in fact King in Ethiopia for forty years before returning to Egypt for the
exodus. The ten Commandments were given to the Jews on African soil. When Jacob
and his Children emigrated to Egypt, they had no religion. Remember that Moses
himself was an African pagan priest. The medical laws in the book of Leviticus
were African medications that responded to African traditions. You see on the
long, Judaism is an African religion.

The stay of Jesus Christ on African soil from the age of two to twelve stamp
the foot print of the Saviour of African soil and became a spiritual blessing on
Africa that give ground to the anti-black sentiments in a world dominated by
satanic government. The fury of the satanic world was revealed through the
degree of cruelty of slave trade between the Arabs and the Western world. But
Africa shall continue to survive. I agree with Dr. Okenwa R. Nwosu at his recent
lecture in the U.S.A. that all these knowledge have African origin and that the
new millennium is for Africa.

Eritrea-Ethiopia War - Readers’ Forum - 1 January 2000

Friday, December 31st, 1999

Regarding your recent article about Assias or Essias or Issias any how, there
are some very important facts missed need to be add. I do believe strongly it is
time to under line them, and through open minded and faithful people we can come
to very important conclusion which is the root solution for the conflict of so
called Eri/Eth.

Before that we got to study history for not so far, just less than a hundred
years, and we ask this big missed Q? Where Is The State Of Bija? (Bija Is the
name mainly given to tribes of Binameer, Hadandawa, and small relatives who
leave in the area between Halaib in the north and Keren in the south?)

The Bija rejected the Hailessilassi empire for what ever reason, political,
religion etc. but they never q? it with the Sudan, for the same reasons plus the
inter marriage between Bija and other tribes in Sudan because of religion strong
tie. Best ex. of rejection and acceptance is the first so called Eritrean
referendum in which Muslim they asked for Independent, all are LOW LANDERS, and
the highlander Christians asked for unity, and at the end of 1950s Erit. became
part of Eth. The solders who were taking care of the forced unity were COMANDOS
100% high land Christians, who burned the houses of the poor Beja people in the
low land and killed almost every adult who want to leave peace fully.

At the end 1973 when Ehtiopian solders came relatively it was better to deal
with. The fact that this Highlanders are pure Ethiopians can be proven in more
than 100 ways and means. The fact that this Christian highlanders consider them
selves they are topclass people and they reject the peasants of Ethiopia (which
is the rest of Ethiopia) also can be demonstrate in varsity of ways. The fact
that Heilessilasi was not able to solve the conflict of bija is because of the
organs of this highland Christians, who promise Hilessilasi that they will keep
the Bija land by force provided they get training, so and control the power in
so called Asmara?

It was easy for Haillselsi to sit with Bija and give them their land than to
collect all the arrogant people and create a war, but in this case a state
called Eri? There is nothing called Erit. Only Ehtiopia nad the Bija? Those who
are in the highland and the port of Ethiopia (massawa) is time for them they
wake up and realize that there is nothing called high-class and low class in
Ethiopia, and back to their mother land which they are rejecting. The Beja will
never ever be part of so called Eri?

It may take time to realize the fact due to missing education during child-
hood because of this Arrogant, but time is not the most important factor? and
remember the Ksovo war began after 760 years? This is a covered fire? The people
of Bija reject the so called Erit. and are leaving in refugee camps in Sudan?
WHY? because they don’t share any thing with this arrogant who undermine their
own people(Ethiopians)who do not respect their own people(Ethiopians). In short
Ethiopia should relies its mistake to Bija people and make a bridge with the
Biga people.

Establish special fund for the people of Bija to educate their kids, and
other human live needs. This will establish a better relation between Ethiopia
and its northern neighbor Bija State, whether it exist or unite with Sudan. That
is the root of the problem and the way you should think about it for solve?
